Great performance, styling, comfort and MPG!

You'd be hard pressed to find a more well rounded vehicle in this segment. The Stinger GT combines excellent performance out of the 365HP twin turbo V6, great comfort for long trips, and surprisingly decent MPG! Engine/Performance and MPG: Make no mistake, this car moves. Out of the box, the GT variants will do 0-60 in 4.7 seconds and run the quarter mile in the high 12's - low 13's. It is hilariously fun to drive, and makes me chuckle like a 12 year old every time I get on it. The exhaust tone, while subdued, does have a nice tone to it. It makes just enough noise that you notice it, but it's not obnoxious. For all the performance it has, it's pretty good on gas mileage. If you want 40-50 MPG, look elsewhere. This isnt a Prius or some other econobox, it's a performance grand touring vehicle. Despite that, on highway trips if I'm not stomping the accelerator at every opportunity (which is difficult), I'll average just over 30MPG. City driving is obviously much lower. Styling and Comfort: Not a whole lot to say about styling as it is a completely subjective topic, but I don't think there is a better looking car in this segment. Kia has taken elements from various other liftbacks and saloons in the segment, and made it their own. Comfort on longer drives is great! I've done one 500 mile road trip so far in my 2 months of ownership, and never once did I feel uncomfortable on the drive. I'm a slightly larger guy at 6'1 210, and the seats are just the right amount of plushness and support. Not too soft, not too firm. This is again a subjective topic, best way to gauge the comfort is to just sit in one. As great as the Stinger GT is, it's not absolutely perfect. I've got the base AWD GT, which is missing a lot of the tech features of the GT1 and GT2. These aren't things I'm necessarily missing, as I understand that some technology needed to be removed in order to offset the added cost of the V6. Having said that, I do not like the look of the 7in infotainment screen that comes in the base V6 GT. No issues with the device itself, but the bezel is MASSIVE and just looks out of place in a car that cost this much. There are also many reports of Stinger GTs shaking while braking, which is caused from brake pad deposits on the rotors (this issue is exclusive to the V6 models with Brembos, 4 cyl Stingers do not have this issue). I have not personally experienced this issue so far in my 1700 miles, but it is easily fixed. Kia skimped out on the brake pads on these models, so bringing it to the dealership and having the rotors resurfaced/replaced and swapping out the pads for some aftermarket ones will make the issue go away. The Stinger also suffers ride quality issues that any car with low profile tires and sportier suspension will have. It's not a jarring ride at all, it's actually pretty good. That said, you do feel the bumps in the road. This isn't a Lincoln Town Car. All in all, I absolutely love this car. Every time I park it, I look back at it. I can't wait to drive it, and when I do it always makes me smile. If you're on the fence about picking one up, do yourself a favor and go take a test drive. You won't regret it!
